Almost Every Other Shower Filter Has This Major Design Flaw!
Most shower filters use a zinc/copper media, referred to as KDF, as their main water purification media. The shower water flows downward through the filter cartridge. This design allows most of the water to drain out of the cartridge when the shower is turned off. This process leaves the KDF exposed to air until the shower is used again.
When KDF experiences regular wet/dry conditions, the KDF rapidly deteriorates and must be replaced every few months. Actually, you're lucky if you get 1 good month of filtration. Oxidation usually begins within weeks. This is why most brands of shower filters require frequent replacements.
When KDF becomes oxidized, it loses it's ability to filter your shower water.
After dozens of experiments and design changes, our new VisionRise Shower Filter includes our Water-Control System. The first time the filter is used, water is locked inside the VisionRise Shower Filter which prevents the KDF media from oxidizing. Of course, the media in the filter prevents any water from becoming stale or harmful.
Keeping the KDF submerged in water prevent its oxidation. This extends the productive life of the VisionRise Shower Filter to over three years making it possible for us to give a three-year warranty to our customers. The Water-Control System also eliminates the aggravation of replacing a cartridge every few months.
